Hiking, cycling and motorbike tours in South Tyrol

Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch is a good starting point for a number of hiking trips. Popular tours are the summit tour to Sas de Pütia/Peitlerkofel and its surroundings. Other attractive routes lead into nearby Val di Funes/Villnösstal with the Le Odle/Geisler peaks, Val di Luson/Lüsneralm or the nearby Plose resort.

A popular climbing garden is located close to our Alpine inn, at the foot of Sas de Pütia/Peitlerkofel, just behind Fornella Alpine hut. There you will find climbing trails of varying degrees of difficulty.

The curvy mountain roads leading from San Martino/St. Martin to Luson/Lüsen, Bressanone/Brixen and Funes/Villnöss are very popular with cyclists. Once you reach the highest point, Ütia de Börz, you will be rewarded by the spectacular views of the Dolomites from our sunny terrace.

Professional cyclists like to stay at our house and use it as a departure point for their tours, since sleeping on altitudes of more than 2,000 meters has an additional training effect. While they take a rest and prepare for the days ahead, their bicycles are stored safe and sound in our bicycle storage room.
Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch already hosted stages of the legendary Giro d'Italia cycling race on several occasions. Every year a special stage is named after the legendary cyclist Marco Pantani. In 2005, this high-profile stage lead up to Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch.

The Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch mountain pass is very popular with motorcyclists. The winding road leads up here from Alta Badia/Gadertal and Val d'Isarco/Eisacktal and offers stunning views in minute-intervals. Spectacular motorcycle tours are possible from May to November. All the most spectacular Dolomites mountain passes, such as Sella peak and Passo Gardena/Grödnerjoch, are within easy reach of a day trip.

A famous paragliding school is located in the nearby village of Luson/Lüsen and offers lessons and tandem flights. The flights take off at Tulperhof mountain farm or Lüseneralm hut.
